Upgraded Online Help Gets You Answers Faster

 

Asset-Tracking120With the latest release of CaseLink Office last quarter, we introduced a whole new online help file so that you can get the answers that you need faster.  Called HelpLink, our new online help is set up to be browsed as you would normally interact with CaseLink Office. In addition, the search function gets you the results you want quickly.

HelpLink topics run the gamut of features found in CaseLink Office. In addition to explanations about how a feature works, we’ve also provided examples and tips about how to be most productive when you use a particular feature in the software.

Access HelpLink

Step 1: To locate HelpLink, press the F1 key or go to the CaseLink Office toolbar, click on Help and choose CASELINK Help from the drop-down list.

Step 2: A new web browser window will open for HelpLink where you can access for CaseLink Office Help. There are many different ways to find topic-specific information in HelpLink including:

  • Search and Advanced Searching options, located at the top right of the screen.
  • Tree View, located in the left sidebar showing you a list of topics to browse.
  • Common Tabs, listing popular guide topics, tutorials, references, troubleshooting options and any recent file changes.
  • The top most used and searched for topics are listed on the HelpLink homepage for easy access.
  • Table of Contents, is listed to the right where you can access content breakdowns.

In order to be able to provide you (and other users) with the most relevant help information, HelpLink includes a feedback option which can be accessed from any screen by clicking on the thumbs up/down icons.

  • If you find the answer helpful, give it a thumbs up.
  • If you don’t, give it a thumbs down and write your suggestions in the “How can We Improve This Page” feedback box.

All comments will go directly to BMS Manager of Training and Development, Karrie Spies. Feedback is delivered to her anonymously. However, if you would like Karrie to respond to your comment and let you know when a particular help topic has been updated, please leave your name and number in the comment box.

If you would like to see an overview about the types of information that can be found in HelpLink, log in to the BMS WebEx Portal and watch the video.

To view the tutorial:
1) Log into https://bms7.webex.com/
2) Click on Training Center.
3) Choose Attend a Session > Recorded Sessions
4) Search for “HelpLink help file”
