In CaseLink², all cases, documents, claims and assets are automatically imported from your court’s ECF website, with notifications of new cases or items appearing on the Alerts Panel as they come in. With the ECF feature, you can view all of these items in one location from the ECF screen and make important decisions based on this data.

To navigate to the ECF screen, select ‘Court > ECF’ from the navigation bar at the top of the screen. On the ECF screen, there are tabs for Cases, ECF Documents, Adversaries, Exceptions, Claims, Assets and Dates which allow you to review each of these items in one convenient location.

Cases Tab

On the Cases tab, you can review cases as they are imported from ECF and quickly learn of any conflicts of interest, debtor attorneys assigned to the case, and any other actions which may need to be taken.

Using the filters at the top of the screen, you can search by a specific case or cases that have come in within a particular date range.

ECF Documents Tab

On the ECF Documents tab, you can keep track of newly imported documents including orders, motions, Release from Stay documents and more. Keeping an eye on this tab can speed up your workflow process – such as notifying you of trustee compensation with an Order for TFR, and more.

Using the filters at the top of the screen, you can search by Case Set, Case Number, Type, Status, whether the document is Flagged, a date range in which documents have been filed or received, or keywords.

Claims Tab

On the Claims tab, you can review newly filed claims, and keep track of claims bar dates across cases. Using the filters at the top of the screen, you can search by: Case Set; Case Number; Class; Type; Status; whether the claim has been Amended, Objected to, or is Tardy; types of claims with select UTC Codes; and a date range the claim may have been filed, received, or have a claims bar date within.

Assets Tab

On the Assets tab, you can review newly imported assets, and view types of assets across cases instead of going from case to case. For example, using the UTC filter at the top of the screen, you can review all of your real estate assets to determine which may be eligible for auction with a short sale service such as RealAssist™ by BMS.

The filters at the top of the screen also allow you to search by: Case Set, Case Number, Type, Status, Amended, UTC Codes, and a date range.

Exceptions Tab

On the Exceptions tab, you can view any exceptions that have been filed or received within a specific date range.

Adversary Tab

On the Adversary tab, immediately learn of any adversary cases filed. These new cases may trigger your attention to a new asset you may be able to recover, and other action items.

Using the filters at the top of the screen, you can search by Trustee Case Set, Bankruptcy Case, Adversary Case, Division, and a date range for adversary case filings.

Dates Tab

On the Dates tab, you can view court updates to important dates such as Meetings of Creditors, Claims Bar Dates, Motions to Reopen Cases, and more.

Using the filters at the top of the screen, you can search by Case Set, Case Number, Type, Status, a date range of filed or received dates, and keywords.

CaseLink Office

In CaseLink Office, the home page alerts you to new cases and other ECF records that have been downloaded from the court and sent to your CaseLink Office software in the ECF/DocLink section, shown below.

To review all of the ECF records imported into your software, navigate to the ECF View by clicking on any of the hyperlinks in the ECF/DocLink section of the homepage, or navigating to QuikDocs and clicking the ECF View tab.

After you have imported cases or records using the Fetch process, you will be alerted of new ECF records available for viewing by QuikDocs upon opening the ECF View. The screen defaults to show all of your new records from ECF, as shown below.

On the ECF View, you can filter the list of records by dates received and filed from the drop-down menu on the top left side of the screen, shown below.

To view a summary of all of the documents received into the ECF View for a specified date, click the “Summary” button on the top left side of the screen. The ECF Summary Report screen, shown below, will appear where you can enter a received or filed date, the applicable trustee and case numbers, and other relevant parameters. Click “Preview” or “Print” to generate the report.
