Position Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for planning and executing throughout the product life cycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and client requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with Sales, Marketing and Customer Service to ensure sales and client satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring the product supports Bankruptcy Management Solutions (BMS)’ overall strategy and goals.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Analyze product opportunities and develop solutions that meet requirements of clients, prospects, sales staff, competitors, market trends, and other industry sources.
  • Develop and manage product strategy, life-cycle tasks and marketing plans for delivery of complete and compelling solutions to clients.
  • Manage feature scope and product backlogs with emphasis on increasing product adoption, revenue growth, and return on investment.
  • Define and communicate attributes that differentiate and distinguish our products and organization from competitors.
  • Manage on-going assessment of client needs through client feedback sessions, and continuously improve existing products to meet clients’ changing needs.
  • Work closely with and provide necessary tools to external sales representatives to ensure sales goals are met.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product sales and product development in partnership with the training coordinator.
  • Create technical materials, applications notes, literature and sales tools to assist in gaining client interest and generate product sales.
  • Understand how current administrative service systems are used in client environments, the limitations of competitive systems, and the potential to exploit these limitations.
  • Promote BMS products/services to clients and prospects, and participate in pre- and post-sales consultations/demonstrations.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, MBA preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong understanding of service oriented technologies and online based-technologies
  • Understanding of Financial or Bankruptcy industry a plus
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and MS Project
