Our Biggest Release of New Features…Coming CaseLink Web on April 24th

The BMS Product Team is excited to announce that the largest set of new and upgraded features ever will become available to CaseLink Web users on Friday, April 24, 2015.

Here’s a few things in this upcoming release that will make you say, “Wow!”:

NEW! Asset Verification Tool

This handy tool allows users to review assets individually or as a batch and make adjustments prior to finalizing the Form 1.

Additional updates to the asset module include:

  • Ability to split or combine assets as needed before finalizing the Form 1 – allowing Chapter 7 offices to more easily stay in compliance with UST regulations.
  • New “Request Quote” button allows users to request insurance quotes for specific assets via email from Trustee Resource Group (TRG).

 

UPDATE! Manage all your Professionals in One Place

Every Chapter 7 office interacts with a variety of professionals each and every month – Debtor attorneys, Judges, and other professionals. Now, with our updated professionals module, you’ll be able to manage all these various groups in clear, efficient manner.

The updated Manage Professionals module will allow you to:

  • View usage on all case professionals, judges and debtor attorneys.
  • Edit and manage addresses and other contact information.
  • Add firms, add professionals to firms, or reassign professionals from one firm to another.
  • Reassign cases to a new judge as needed.

UPDATE! Customizable Home Screen Portlets

The home screen of CaseLink Web has gotten a big overhaul where we’ve made the calendar more informative and updated the customization options for several portlets in order to provide you with information that is most relevant to the way you work.

  • Calendar now displays color-coded dates – for a specific activities, events and reminders.
  • Task portlet information can now be customized so that you can turn on or off the types of tasks you want to see.
  • Case Summaries portlet provides you with at-a-glance case information and the information can now be tailored to:
    • The top 10 highest balance cases
    • Your Favorite cases
    • Up to any 10 cases that you want to see

NEW! Alerts & Reminders

Your ability to stay on top of your tasks just got easier with new, Outlook-style reminders and alerts.

  • Set up tasks that can recur at various intervals – daily, weekly, monthly.
  • Ability to create task templates to save you time with frequently used tasks.
  • Case, ECF, Banking and DocLink alerts are accessible from anywhere within the software through the icon in the global menu.

NEW! Support for Wage claims

The claims module now has a new “Wage Claims” tab specifically designed to help you with managing both single- and multi-state wage claims.

  • Review tax claims at a glance.
  • Enable wage caps and threshold limits that can kick in automatically to keep the process compliant.
  • Customize, add or delete tax claims for individual wage claims as required.

BETA FEATURE! Merge Document Wizard

Many users have expressed the wish to be able to create custom document templates that automatically merge data from CaseLink Web. While not totally finalized, we’re introducing a beta version of our “Merge Document Wizard” which allows you to create, view, and edit your own merge document templates whenever you need one. Try out this beta feature and provide any feedback to BMS via email.

NEW! Live Chat with BMS Support Center

Sample-Chat-WindowChat-based support is now being offered to BMS clients as an additional method to get answers to your questions – so that you can continue doing the work that you need to do. If you prefer to contact us by phone or email, those options continue to be offered as well.

Getting help from a BMS Customer Service Representative via chat is quick and easy. Just click on the green “Live Chat” button in the bottom right corner of the CaseLink Web screen.

Live chat support will be available during the same hours as the BMS Support Center – 8:00 am to 8:00 pm ET (5:00 am to 5:00 pm PT).

This new version of CaseLink Web also includes several additional productivity upgrades and some bug fixes.
