Latest Version of CaseLink Office Makes TIR Prep a Breeze

During this time of year, many trustees are generating their Trustee Interim Reports. If it feels like you are trudging through sand to get your TIRs done, you’re in luck—the most recent update to CaseLink Office makes the scraping of schedules easier than ever before and TIR prep a breeze!

The latest upgrade (available to all CaseLink Office users starting last month) includes buttons to request scraping of assets and scheduled claims in both the Asset and Claims screens, allowing you to have all of the data from your cases added directly into your software with one click. After requesting the scrape, the data will be placed into the appropriate sections of the case data—typically within one to two business days.

See how to request the scraping of assets and scheduled claims after you’ve upgraded to the latest version:

Scrape Assets and Scheduled Claims

The latest upgrade allows you to request the scraping of data for specific cases directly into CaseLink Office, without having to call or email the BMS Support Center.

To request the scraping of asset information for a specific case, click on the “Asset” tab on the left-hand side of your Home screen, then click the “Scrape Schedules” link on the sub-menu on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.

SA-1

This wiill open the Scrape Schedules screen, which will send a request to have Schedules A-F scraped, unless you select “Scrape Amendments Only.” Click “OK” to send the request.

SA-2

To request the scraping of Scheduled Claims or Amendments for a specific case, navigate to the “Claims” tab on the left-hand side of the Home screen, then click “Scrape Claims” on the sub-menu at the bottom left-hand side of the screen.

SC-1

This will open the Scrape Schedules screen, which will scrape Schedules E-F unless you select “Scrape Amendments Only,” which will only scrape the amendments. Click “OK” to send the request.

SA-2

Your data should be ready within one to two business days from when you submit the request.* Once your data has been imported by BMS, you can use that information to generate Forms 1, 2 and 3 for use with your TIR.

*Note: Certain schedules may take longer to scrape.

  1. I have requested that several cases be “scraped” due to the exemptions being doubled when importing the case. I have seen no change and it has been over a month since I requested it. Also, I requested to have all these cases fixed by BMS, to which I have seen no action.
