Insights from the CBF Insolvency Conference

May 2014

Rebecca Cook, National Account Executive

conference170During this conference in Santa Barbara, CA, we learned about current industry trends as well as the concerns facing restructuring professionals today.

One of the common conference discussions was on the ethical use of social media. Many questioned how to best use this media in engaging our ever changing industry. Attendees also talked about the out-of-the-box Australian keynote presenter who taught us a new mash up: how to “FURK” (Have FUn, while woRKing)!

While the CBF keynote speaker remained the topic of most conference conversations, many attendees were happy to learn about the way TrustWorks could help bring automation and efficiency to their resource-intensive tasks. TrustWorks helps fiduciaries to avoid costly fees accrued towards the end of a case by providing them with software that streamlines the calculation of complex distributions while allowing users to print and mail checks themselves – being more productive while reducing expenses. TrustWorks has many more features available – perfect for a variety of corporate restructuring cases including receiverships, post-confirmation trusts and other distributions.

Doug Bradley, Regional Account Executive

We had a great time getting to network among conference attendees. Catching up with industry colleagues and making new contacts is always a great experience. We enjoyed being able to bring conference attendees together in order to help them strengthen their own networks.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the CBF again next year.
