Tech Tip:

Free Cleaner Installation for Final Layer of Protection

In last month’s newsletter, we showed you how to use Malwarebytes to find malware on your computer. Now that you have located the malicious malware on your computer, using Malwarebytes free program featured in last month’s newsletter, it’s time to clean up any corrupted files that these viruses may have attached themselves to. In order to make sure all traces of malware have been removed from your computer, a cleaning program is recommended.

Cleaning programs are designed to remove unused and corrupted files, allowing your computer to run faster by freeing up needed hard drive disk space. These programs clean all areas of your computer including temporary files, history, cookies, download history, form history, recycle bin, recent documents and log files. This month we will show you how to complete your final layer of protection against online attacks by installing CCleaner, a free clean-up program. It’s fast and easy, taking no more than a few seconds to run.

NOTE: Virus and Malware can prevent CCleaner from running. Make sure your anti-virus software is current or has been run prior to running this program.
