Cheryl Shapiro, a trustee assistant from Voorhees, NJ, has been a client of BMS for the majority of the last 30 years. She recently let us know how much she appreciated the help of her BMS Sr. Account Manager, Tricia Bannister.

“With the beginning of every year, I faced the one task I particularly dread… the preparation of the 1096/1099’s!  My knees would shake, my hands get sweaty and I would lose sleep knowing this had to be done,” said Cheryl. You’re not alone, Cheryl! Many clients forget how to create 1096/1099’s since they only have to do it once a year.

Lucky for Cheryl, as a BMS client, she could call her Account Manager for help. Tricia walked Cheryl through the process of updating repetitive payees, running a 1099 worksheet and helping her create checklists to make sure that all her professionals had TIN numbers printed. Tricia assured Cheryl that this year would be a piece of cake. “She was so right on!” said Cheryl.  “Tricia met with me again in January and, after I ran my 1099 detail report, absolutely everything was good. I was ready to get my 1096/1099’s out the door within an hour. Thank you, Tricia!  Thank you, BMS!”

    We too love Tricia! Tricia helped us get our 1096/1099’s out in no time at all. She’s the very best.
