Data Care: Know What BMS Does & Does Not Back Up

Sometimes you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. Take precautions to protect your data by making sure all of your data is getting backed up on a daily basis (Chapter 7 Handbook Chapter 5.G.3.e.5, page 5-16)!

BMS backs up case data within the BMS software for all clients, and if you use one of our online platforms (CaseLink² or CaseLink Online), we also back up related case documents. For data that BMS does not back up such as emails, software programs and other data files, we advise that you subscribe to a cloud-based backup solution (such as Carbonite or CrashPlan Pro) in order to be compliant with the Business Interruption Plan requirements detailed in the Chapter 7 Handbook (Chapter 5.G.4, page 5-17).
