Clear Out the Cobwebs with BMS University

Untitled design-3Work piling up, tedious tasks, and chaotic case deadlines can haunt us throughout our day, keep us up at night, and fill us with a general unease. If your daily routines are causing more harm than good, it might be time to clear out the cobwebs.

As a CaseLink user, you have great power at your fingertips – the courses contained in BMS University! BMS University is a self-paced, online training platform that is only accessible to BMS clients. It provides distinct education tracks formed around the duties performed during the administration of bankruptcy cases.

Here you’ll find step-by-step instructions to help you:

  • Enroll in and start using BMS University
  • Join live, instructor-led classes
  • Access recorded trainings at your convenience

Enroll in and start using BMS University

Once you’ve enrolled in BMS University, you’ll be able to increase your skills and knowledge at your own pace. There are a variety of courses to choose from and new courses are available every month.

Step 1: Obtain a user ID and password for BMS University by clicking here. Once you’ve submitted your request. The BMS Training Department will send you your credentials via email.

Step 2: Visit BMS University at https://bmsuniversity.absorbtraining.com/. You may want to bookmark this page so you can return to it easily. Once there, you’ll be asked to use your user ID and password to log in.


There are two types of courses available at BMS University: live, instructor-led classes and recorded classes. We’ll show you how to access both types of sessions.

Join live, instructor-led classes

Our live, instructor-led classes are taught using the GoToTraining web platform. To view upcoming courses and register, log in to BMS University and:

  1. Click on “Course Catalog” on the Home Page.
  2. Click on “Live Instructor Led Classes.”
  3. Click on the BMS software platform you’re using.
  4. A list of schedules for upcoming classes will be displayed. You’ll need to click on the “Enroll” button next to the schedule you’re interested in. Once clicked, you will see the “Enroll” button replaced by a “Launch” button. Click “Launch” to view upcoming classes for the month.
  5. A list of classes will appear on the screen. After making your choice, click the “Enroll” button next to the specific live class you wish to take in order to view course detail and register.BMSU-42
  6. From the course detail screen, click the GoToTraining link you see on the page. You will be taken to a registration page. After filling out and submitting the brief form, you will receive a confirmation email with a calendar reminder for that session that can be manually added to our Outlook or Google calendar.

  7. To manually add a session to your calendar, click “Add to Calendar” link in the email received. This will add a reminder with a link to join the session into your Outlook or Google calendar.
  8. Please join the training session at least 5 minutes before the start time. You may need to download a plug-in from Citrix GoToTraining in order for you to view the course properly.

Access Recorded Trainings at Your Convenience

BMS also offers pre-recorded training courses covering everything bankruptcy from A to Z as well as every aspect of our software and productivity techniques. To view a recorded training, log in to BMS University and:

  1. Click on “Course Catalog” on the Home page to browse courses.
  2. Click on the BMS software platform you’re using.
  3. A list of course tracks will be displayed. If you’re a new CaseLink Web user, make sure you click “NEW CLW USERS START HERE.”BMSU-4
  4. Once you’ve clicked on a course track, a list of trainings will appear. Click on the “Enroll” button next to the course you wish to view. Once clicked, you will see the “Enroll” button replaced by a “Launch” button. Click “Launch” to access a playlist of trainings. When you identify the training you wish to view, click the “Launch” button or “Play” icon next to the title to watch the recording in your browser.

Access Previously Viewed Courses

  1. Click on “My Courses” on the Home page.
  2. Choose the Course Type.
  3. Click on a course from inside each module in the top grid. DO NOT launch from courses listed below the grid. You will receive a download error if you do so.BMSU-8
  4. You are now able to continue taking individual courses that you had enrolled in or started previously at your convenience.
