Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of tactical initiatives that support BMS’ marketing and branding strategy. Under the direction of the VP of Marketing, this position is responsible for creating a significant amount of content to inform all company communications, employing a range of channels and tools that include marketing collateral, website, speaking engagements and media placements.

Working with the PR Director, this role will also support the marketing department’s efforts to deliver key, external message points and position company stakeholders as thought leaders and role models in the consumer/corporate bankruptcy industry. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing internal presentations and materials for other company departments and external training tools for our professional partners.  This position will also collaborate with and manage external product and service vendors.

Essential Functions

  • Manage BMS’ brand to ensure consistency and build internal/external brand awareness.
  • Develop process and timeline for implementing internal/external communication on company mission statement, culture and values.
  • Conduct audit of the firm’s existing collateral materials and advertising to ensure they conform to the firm’s brand standards.
  • Assist in developing collateral content consistent with the firm’s brand and messaging.
  • Develop proposal templates and oversee the regular content update of marketing collateral, and website.
  • Distribute announcements to clients and the broader market via Marketo, the company’s mass email distribution platform.
  • Provide graphic design direction and support on ad placements for trade and mainstream media publications; engage external graphic designer when necessary.
  • Oversee the production of case studies, videos, service line overviews, company one-sheets, white papers and other client communications.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations for quarterly department meetings, company board meetings, and external speaking engagements.
  • Work with PR Director to develop media strategies supporting the firm’s brand and secure speaking engagements or article placement opportunities for company stakeholders.
  • Develop content for internal communications including intranet, company announcements and staff meetings.
  • Manage annual sponsorships with industry trade associations.
  • Oversee promotional products; ordering and maintaining inventory.
  • Identify corporate award and ranking programs for submission and recognition.
  • Manage external vendor relationships; negotiate and review contracts.
  • Mentor Senior Marketing and Business Development Coordinator.
  • Other duties to be assigned.

Requirements/Education

  • A bachelor’s degree is required. Preferably in the field of Communication, Marketing or Advertising.
  • Experience in a professional services firm, law firm or closely related work environment required.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to juggle competing, shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to work hands-on to achieve objectives.
  • Consistent ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience supervising administrative staff.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to work.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
