Position Summary

Bankruptcy expert responsible for process and quality assurance in BMS software. This role will both lead and be hands-on in efforts to continuously enhance and maintain the quality of BMS products and internal application software. The Business QA Analyst will also be responsible for creating and executing test plans to fully establish end-to-end business processes for trustees and their assistants.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Participate in development phase and identify any functionality issues before product is released.
  • Develop business process plans to test case creation and execution, debugging, and defect analysis/reporting.
  • Maintain existing test suites and develop new tests for new features and automation efforts.
  • Document software defects using a tracking system and report defects to software developers.
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
  • Create defect reports and feature enhancement requests.
  • Provide QA perspective in requirement, design and defect/enhancement reviews.
  • Plan process testing schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.
  • Gather and analyze user requirements to create test specifications and ensure code matches user business rules and processes.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training or experience in a bankruptcy-related field
  • 5+ years working in the Bankruptcy industry with hands-on knowledge of Bankruptcy practice management software
  • Deep knowledge and expertise working with Bankruptcy Trustees and Trustee Offices
  • Familiarity with Bankruptcy business processes and the bankruptcy handbook
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and a willingness to learn
  • Advanced communication skills (verbal, written and negotiation)
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving & communication skills.
