BMS Leaders to Present at 2017 NCBJ Conference in Las Vegas

This week, BMS Chief Client Officer, Dave Beltran, and Vice President of Client Services, Melinda Teter, will each speak at different panel sessions during the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges in Las Vegas. Ms. Teter will be speaking on “Creative Ways to Maximize Value and Minimize Transaction Costs in Bankruptcy Sales” on Monday, October 9, at 12:00 p.m. PT., and Mr. Beltran will be speaking on “Cyberattack: Zombies, Data and Hospitals. What Do You Do in a Hospital Bankruptcy?” on Tuesday, October 10th at 7:30 am P.T.

BMS Vice President of Client Services, Melinda Teter, will speak on bankruptcy short sales and how to maximize value and minimize transaction costs in these endeavors. Her session will cover the RealAssist™ program by BMS, a program for Chapter 7 Trustees which streamlines the short sale process by pre-approving bankruptcy properties with the servicers. BMS Chief Client Officer, David Beltran, will speak on preventing and dealing with data breaches and transferring data and assets when healthcare, cybersecurity and bankruptcy are involved. Mr. Beltran brings to this session his expertise and extensive experience working in computer forensics and litigation support.

 

About Dave Beltran, BMS Chief Client Officer

A bankruptcy industry veteran with over 15 years of experience supporting the needs of bankruptcy trustees and other fiduciaries, Mr. Beltran rejoined BMS in 2015 as Chief Client Officer. Prior to rejoining BMS, Dave served as the CEO of Title XI Software Solutions since 2013. Before that, Dave supported the technology needs of BMS clients in the Northeastern United States. From new client on-boarding to strategic planning and management, Dave has been involved in every aspect of the case administration support cycle. Prior to working in the bankruptcy industry, Dave worked with multinational insurance companies and companies specializing in computer forensics and litigation support.

About Melinda Teter, BMS Vice President of Client Services

After joining BMS in 2004, Ms. Teter has proven herself time and again as a champion for BMS clients. She was prominent in developing the industry-leading client-focused culture at BMS initially as part of the account management team and later as Director of Client Relations. Now, she oversees all support and service groups within the Company. With her extensive knowledge of the bankruptcy case administration process, Ms. Teter was instrumental in the development of the company’s next generation case administration software. Prior to joining BMS, Ms. Teter worked as a paralegal for many years overseeing all aspects in the administration of Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases.
