Activate the LEP Interpreter Report in CaseLink Office

The LEP Interpreter Report is one of several new features introduced in CaseLink Office in the upgrade released last month. This feature allows Trustees to track the usage of interpreters in 341(a) meetings, as is required by the UST in some areas.

Due to regional differences, we’ve built a high degree of custom options into the LEP Interpreter Report. The LEP Interpreter Report is not relevant to all CaseLink Office users, since not all districts require it. For this reason, it is set to “off” by default.

To activate the LEP Interpreter Report, all you need to do is contact BMS Support. Once activated, the LEP Interpreter Report is by default formatted to conform with the requirements set forth by the CANB region. However, the LEP Interpreter Report can be custom formatted and BMS will even do the work for you.

Before calling BMS to activate the LEP Interpreter Report, we suggest contacting your UST about formatting requirements for your region. If you are able to obtain a sample of the desired formatting from your UST, you can send it to us and our team will make those changes for you behind the scenes. If your UST does not have a preferred format, we suggest that you use the format employed by the CANB region.

Once the LEP Interpreter Report is activated and set up, all you need to do to get started is check the box next to “Interpreter” on the 341(a) case information screen.

An “Edit” link will then appear on the screen. By clicking it, you will bring up a pop-up screen where you can record a variety of details whenever an interpreter is used, including location, language and complaint code used.

Once you’ve recorded the information for a case, you can move on to the next case from the 341(a) worksheet list screen. You can also click on the report button to generate an Excel document that can be saved to QuikDocs, saved locally, or emailed.

The LEP Interpreter Report is a feature that was developed as result of client requests to automate a specific process. BMS is thrilled to bring the results of this collaboration to CaseLink Office. To activate the LEP Interpreter Report, please call the BMS Support Center at 800-634-7734 and choose option 6.
