Business Data Analyst II

As we continue to grow and attract new clients, we are seeking candidates with a background in data migration projects for a Business Data Analyst position in our Special Projects team.

Position Summary

This highly technical role will coordinate, facilitate, and execute new client conversions from competitive software. This individual will also facilitate the migration of data from one BMS software platform to another, and perform ad hoc projects including the creation and manipulation of data.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Gather, document, manage and communicate requirements throughout project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to business assessment, analyzing user needs and designing business systems to map data from one system to another.
  • Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis, to complex data mining.
  • Work directly with clients and project/business leaders to identify analytical requirements, and interface with the development team for coding optimization.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain business solutions, and maintain working knowledge of BMS products and tools.
  • Maintain code and/or specifications for selected internal programs.
  • Train conversion team and gather resources to ensure successful conversion/implementation.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in computer related field
  • 2-4 years data analysis experience, required
  • 1 year programming experience, preferred
  • Working knowledge of SQL queries
  • Proficient with: FoxPro, MS Office – especially Excel
  • Knowledge of WordPerfect and Adobe Acrobat
  • Understanding of Finance/Accounting, particularly with balancing accounts and ledgers
  • Proven experience learning and supporting proprietary applications and data
